For orders of more than one bundle, until the end of June - All US orders will pay the “West Coast” price for shipping. Same goes for Canadian orders (but we’ve gotta add the boarder fees and such). This offer is only applicable to delivery addresses on the direct routes of our major shipping companies (Yellow Freight/Roadway).

FUEL SURCHARGE: Added to all shipping charges. This surcharge changes weekly and will automatically be added to your shipping rate. Surcharges typically range from 10-15% but can vary. You can find this week’s fuel surcharge here (look for the blue highlighted section):

ALL shipping rate quotes are only to a business address. Residential deliveries, including home offices, are charged an additional $80 (this is the trucking company’s rule, not mine).

Product Guarantee for Fly Rod Bamboo

All pieces of fly rod quality tonkin cane are guaranteed to be free of slash (farmer's) marks and burn marks (see following note about slash-marks). No bamboo from The Bamboo Broker has been straightened or modified. If you receive bamboo that is not usable for building a fly rod please contact Andy Royer.

Note that in the 2009 order I have allowed about 1% of A poles with slash marks. These are poles that I found to be of high quality or that had slash marks at the very base of the pole. There are also 5-10 poles this year that I accepted because they had some attractive Chinese calligraphy on them. Let me know if you receive these poles and if they don’t work for you.

Please note that we are working with a natural product which naturally, has limitations. Every piece is unique, and each has something to work around. I guarantee it.

Shipping damage - If possible inspect your bamboo upon arrival. If the bamboo you receive appears to have been damaged in transit, let the shipping company know this before they leave your premises! If the shipper leaves without you making a claim, no claim can be made!
